Monday Morning Dance Off

Boy did we have a good morning! We turned the music on and boogied down! Jacob even thanked God for it during our morning prayer on the way to school today! We laughed and laughed! Gordon had just gotten off of his bike and was in the shower so he missed it!

We let them watch Norbit last night and they kept saying "you want a banana for your GWOWILLA (gorilla)"! GOOFY!!! If you haven't seen the movie then you should because it is hilarious!
We had a great weekend! Friday night Gordon, Ethan & Abbey went to the Boiling Springs Varsity Basketball game ~ Jacob and I stayed home and chilled! Then Saturday night we went to the Wofford Basketball game! Jacob spent the night with my mom and dad so he missed it! Then we all went to POTENTIAL yesterday for Jacob's pitching lessons! Barry is trying to teach him to do something that involves his legs ~ Barry is right handed and Jacob is left handed so he said they kept falling! He said it was hilarious! He is doing really well! Ethan hit in the cage for a little bit and did okay. It is funny how crowded it is getting over there! We have been going since October and now that baseball season is getting closer it is getting busy!
Me & Abbey before church yesterday morning! She had on her LET IT SNOW dress -- she also prays for snow EVERY morning on the way to school. Today, Ethan said "NO SNOW Abbey -- we already have 1 day to make up"!! HA!!! He is catching on!

Have a Great Week!

Are You Smarter than a 4th grader?

Well, I know for a fact that these two are smarter than I am! They had awards day today and Jacob received Honor Roll, Perfect Attendance, Top Writer, and a Physical Fitness "at an exemplary performance level" awards! Ethan received Principal's Honor Roll and Perfect Attendance. Abbey also received a Top Writer (Published Pup) award. Where in the world do these kids get their smarts? Certainly not from me! I can help them with English and History all day long but when they start with the math and science they might as well be asking Cooper! (our basset hound)

Just had to brag a little! The proud mama!

I also wanted to include this picture -- it is my mom, me and Abbey! Pretty cool! I had to crop and fit the pictures together but, all-in-all they turned out pretty cute!

Funniest Darn Dogs in the World!

You have to watch this! These are my friend Tracy's dogs! Kenzie is the first one you see and she is barking at the neighbor's snowman! Then, she gets scared of it and runs away! Then, Kallie comes looking around to see what her CRAZY sister is barking at! I think Tracy should send this in to America's Funniest Video's -- she would win hands down!!! They are funnier than children!

Snowbabies!

It snowed! We finally got a real snow -- it is gone now but.....I have pictures that the upstate finally received real SNOW and not Ice! We had a great time at home yesterday - and Abbey and I still got to get our haircuts. She had 5 inches cut off -- her hair touched the top of her pants and we had it cut -- well, she had it cut -- I didn't want to but have to admit that it looks precious! See the after pictures!

Cooper loved the snow! He couldn't figure it out and kept eating it! Then, we tried to start building a snowman and he peepeed on it! GROSS!! So....we just gave up!

My Prayer.....

Music
Video:

I am always praying that my babies are safe! This song makes me think of them! I am so proud of them -- both boys made the Honor Roll and Abbey is doing great in K-5. I just want them to be happy and nice. They are all so caring and giving! Jacob would give away a toy to a friend before he would keep it himself.
Ethan NEVER, EVER wants to give or get kisses! If you tell him to come and give you a kiss he holds his cheek up to you for a brief moment and then is gone. Well, yesterday he walked up to me and just kissed me right on the lips! I was in complete disbelief! I told him later THANK YOU and he asked why -- when I told him he looked at me like I was insane. Oh well! One day he will understand!
Abbey and I went shopping with my mom ALL day on Saturday. She did NOT want to go -- she wanted to go to work with her daddy so that she could paint. On the way home she told me "Mommy I had so much fun today"!
Oh how I love them!

Back to the Drawing Board!

Whew! It has been one wild and crazy 2 weeks! (OK -- almost two weeks) On our first day out of school we took the kids to ride the Polar Express. It was amazing and we had a precious time!

They were very excited - we went with Allison & Luke and Christie & Ray and ALL of our children.

This was only the start to the whirlwind Christmas Vacation. We had a wonderful time and I really enjoyed being with my babies! They got entirely TOO much for Christmas -- even though we cut WAY back but.....the hit of the holidays was the TRAMPOLINE!! I swore I would NEVER own one - but, my children stay on my neighbors 24/7 so, this at least keeps them in my yard! They love it!

Ethan was asked to read the Christmas Story from the Bible at church the Sunday before Christmas. I have to say this was one of my proudest moments and one that I will never forget. He did a wonderful job -- better than I could have done. He read from the KJV Luke 2 : 1-20 -- go check it out and see how much he had to read -- directly from the Bible! I wanted to type it out so that it would be bigger but, they wanted it directly from the Bible. He didn't even have his glasses on and still did a wonderful job.

We had my family Christmas at my brothers house at the Lake. On our way there we saw about 30 wild turkeys crossing the road ~ Matthew walked the dog outside one night and a coyote was standing in the bottom of the yard! The highlight was Sam --Jason's new duck dog. She is a beautiful black lab named Savannah Annie Mercura (or something that is African for flawless). Poor Chase -- his Doberman -- we still love you the most!! Here are all of my kiddos with Matthew and Krista! Then, we had Christmas at Gordon's parents and the children did a wonderful Christmas Program for us. They sang lots of songs and even danced. Jacob & Ethan made Oma proud by singing Silent Night in German!! She even sang along with them - and promised to kill anyone who laughed!
And, my sweet, precious, beautiful, giving husband got me tickets to see GREASE on Broadway in NEW YORK CITY!!!!

This was the HIGHLIGHT of my Christmas! I have been ALL Over the United States but never to NYC. I have begged and begged to go and I am finally going! So.................

"Start Spreading the News.............I'm leaving in May................I'm going to be a part of it ---- New York, New York".

OK -- after Christmas we took off for the beach but....not before stopping in Columbia, SC to see a Gamecock Basketball game. Oh, the things I do for my husband -- he owes me this NY trip!!!

Then, we went to the beach through New Years! Woohooo -- GO TIGERS!!! hahahahahahahahaha -- Raylee!!!

On New Years Day, my entire family went fishing out in the Atlantic and caught their share of sharks. They went out with 2 bait fish, then Ethan caught a SeaBass which they cut up and used for bait and caught about 20 sharks. At one time they were pulling one out of the water and another jumped up after it! How scary!!! They said that they looked out once and there were about 6 sharks swimming around the boat! OK -- Do I need to remind you that they are in the SAME Boat that SANK this summer!!! I didn't feel good (and didn't know why -- hello kidney infection) and didn't go so, I missed out on all of the fun. My funny Abbey is so not like me -- she will go shopping if I promise her the world -- but would much rather be outside fishing (and yes she was wearing a monogrammed sweatsuit) or playing! Thank goodness -- I would much rather her grow up being able to do all of the outdoor things. I just hope she gets my love for reading too! Nothing better than being on the boat in the middle of the Atlantic with a good book!! Yes - this beautiful blue water is at Murrell's Inlet!

So, now we are back to our regularly scheduled lives! The boys are in basketball and Abbey is still tumbling, Gordon is working himself to death and I am just trying to keep up with everyone else! I wish all of you a wonderful and HAPPY NEW YEAR in 2008.
