Whew! It has been one wild and crazy 2 weeks! (OK -- almost two weeks) On our first day out of school we took the kids to ride the Polar Express. It was amazing and we had a precious time!
They were very excited - we went with Allison & Luke and Christie & Ray and ALL of our children.
This was only the start to the whirlwind Christmas Vacation. We had a wonderful time and I really enjoyed being with my babies! They got entirely TOO much for Christmas -- even though we cut WAY back but.....the hit of the holidays was the TRAMPOLINE!! I swore I would NEVER own one - but, my children stay on my neighbors 24/7 so, this at least keeps them in my yard! They love it!

Ethan was asked to read the Christmas Story from the Bible at
church the Sunday before Christmas. I have to say this was one of my proudest moments and one that I will never forget. He did a wonderful job -- better than I could have done. He read from the KJV Luke 2 : 1-20 -- go check it out and see how much he had to read -- directly from the Bible! I wanted to type it out so that it would be bigger but, they wanted it directly from the Bible. He didn't even have his glasses on and still did a wonderful job.

We had my family Christmas at my brothers house at the Lake. On our way there we saw about 30 wild turkeys crossing the road ~ Matthew walked the dog outside one night and a coyote was standing in the bottom of the yard! The highlight was Sam --Jason's new duck dog. She is a beautiful black lab named Savannah Annie Mercura (or something that is African for flawless). Poor Chase -- his Doberman -- we still love you the most!! Here are all of my kiddos with Matthew and Krista!

Then, we had Christmas at Gordon's parents and the children did a wonderful Christmas Program for us. They sang lots of songs and even danced. Jacob & Ethan made Oma proud by singing Silent Night in German!! She even sang along with them - and promised to kill anyone who laughed!

And, my sweet, precious, beautiful, giving husband got me tickets to see GREASE

on Broadway in NEW YORK CITY!!!!

This was the HIGHLIGHT of my Christmas! I have been ALL Over the United States but never to NYC. I have begged and begged to go and I am finally going! So.................
"Start Spreading the News.............I'm leaving in May................I'm going to be a part of it ---- New York, New York".
OK -- after Christmas we took off for the beach but....not before stopping in Columbia, SC to see a Gamecock Basketball game. Oh, the things I do for my husband -- he owes me this NY trip!!!
Then, we went to the beach through New Years! Woohooo -- GO TIGERS!!! hahahahahahahahaha -- Raylee!!!
On New Years Day, my entire family went fishing out in the Atlantic and caught their share of sharks. They went out with 2 bait fish, then Ethan caught a SeaBass which they cut up and used for bait and caught about 20 sharks. At one time they were pulling one out of the water and another jumped up after it! How scary!!! They said that they looked out once and there were about 6 sharks swimming around the boat! OK -- Do I need to remind you that they are in the SAME Boat that SANK this summer!!! I didn't feel good (and didn't know why -- hello kidney infection) and didn't go so, I missed out on all of the fun. My funny Abbey is so not like me -- she will go shopping if I promise her the world -- but would much rather be outside fishing (and yes she was wearing a monogrammed sweatsuit) or playing! Thank goodness -- I would much rather her grow up being able to do all of the outdoor things. I just hope she gets my love for reading too! Nothing better than being on the boat in the middle of the Atlantic with a good book!! Yes - this beautiful blue water is at Murrell's Inlet!

So, now we are back to our regularly scheduled lives! The boys are in basketball and Abbey is still tumbling, Gordon is working himself to death and I am just trying to keep up with everyone else! I wish all of you a wonderful and HAPPY NEW YEAR in 2008.
