Single Gender

(Some of these went to a draft and was never published making the dates wrong.)

My boys were part of the very first SINGLE GENDER class at their school this year. So, they have been a part of history! It has been a huge success! Gordon was extremely opposed to it but decided to give it a try and we have never regretted it a single moment! Both boys have had an awesome year and we are really sad that it is coming to an end! I personally keep praying that they are going to continue it in the 6th grade!

I cannot believe I am sitting here typing out your 10th birthday on my blog. It seems like you should only be turning 1! I can still remember counting down the days until your first birthday! Now we are celebrating a decade! 10 years -- 120 months -- 3650 days! You both make us so proud! I wish you a wonderful 10th birthday!

Here is a note that Abbey wrote to me years ago in 2007.  She is just MY GIRL!!! Reminds me of her teddy bear that we bought her when she was one that sang "My Girl" and she called it her "Michael" bear!!

It reads: "I want my mommy I am a scool I miss you and I want you to knoe I love you mommy. Love Abbey. You are the best in the world. You like green to I love green to. You are the best mom I love you to Happy Birthday."

We lost Opa on October 2, 2014.  Gordon had eaten lunch with him that day and we were on our way to pick him up for Ethan's football game.  It was a shock and broke our hearts.  This is the video that was shown at his funeral after Gordon spoke.

The Best Dog Ever!

"Every once in a while A dog enters your life 

And changes everything."

This dog is the sweetest soul.  She is an old soul. She has no faults.  Well, one that is completely out of her control or our control.  She sheds.....and when I say she sheds, I mean she sheds.  24/7/365.  She has a double coat and blows it all the time.  My hard wood floors look like I have wall to wall carpet.  We sweep and vacuum at least five times a day.  Sometimes more!  She is worth it and I would sweep 100 times a day just to have her.  

Her name means "My beautiful girl!" in Italian.  She is my beautiful girl and we love her.
